“Pianist Angela Cheng, cellist Denise Djokic and violinist Juliette Kang sailed beautifully through an extremely difficult Triple Concerto, John Estacio’s spine-tingling composition that opened the Winspear Centre in 1997. The soloists perfectly captured the extreme moods of the piece, bathing the audience in powerful emotions: jubilation, hope, enchantment, terror. Djokic is especially expressive with her instrument, her lithe arms wrapped passionately about the cello, her long blond ponytail flicking the air, her expression at once transfixed, mournful, moved, euphoric.” (Edmonton Journal, 9 May 2012)
